Presentation
In the sixteenth century, this place was called "Mata do Rei". It belonged to the Portuguese Crown and was full of spontaneous vegetation. The richness of this forest is essentially in its fauna, as it is home to two Iberian endemisms, the Latastia longicaudata and the Iberian Frog.
