Made by two different buildings, ?Casa de Clima? (or Casa do Arco) and ?Casa de Baixo? (or Casa da Torre), Sub-Ripas Palace is a magnificent Manuelin portal from the first half of the 16th century.

Notes

The external walls have numerous bass-relief panels and their style and technique can be attributed to the workshop of João de Ruão that, coincidentally, was a few meters away from the palace.

Remark: Currently, some services of archaeology institute of the Faculty of Letters of the University of Coimbra function there so they are not open to the public.
