Presentation
The Mondego Green Park is a project of the architect Camilo Cortesão, integrated in Coimbra Polis programme, that includes both banks of the Mondego River. It was inaugurated in July 2004.

Notes

This is a vast green space where you can find cafés, bars, restaurants, a playground, pavilions for temporary exhibitions and ?Pavilhão Centro de Portugal?, designed by Souto Moura and Álvaro Siza Vieira.
The Pedro and Inês Footbridge, designed by Adão Fonseca and Cecil Balmond, connects the two banks of the river and was inaugurated on the 26th of November 2006. It is an antisymmetric structure and is 275 meters long and is 10 meters above the water, with an eight meter wide plaza. This plaza is defined as a meditation and leisure spot.
