The museum offers guided tours that provide an in-depth understanding of the collections and the history of the space.

The tour takes place throughout the old wine cellars, offering an immersive experience in the winemaking history and culture of the region.

Underground Museum

The Aliança Underground Museum is the first of its kind in Portugal, providing a unique visit in an underground environment, integrated into the cellars of one of the largest wine and sparkling wine brands in the Bairrada region.

Fusion of Art and Wine Tourism

The museum innovatively combines art with wine tourism, offering visitors not only the opportunity to explore artistic collections but also to taste regional wines, sparkling wines, and aguardentes (local brandy).

The nine permanent collections cover areas such as archaeology, paleontology, ethnography, and ceramics, offering a rich cultural experience that goes well beyond wine.

Complete Sensory Experience

In addition to the exhibitions, the museum provides a complete sensory experience, with wine tastings that allow visitors to sample local production while exploring the exhibition space.

Inaugurated on April 24, 2010, the Aliança Underground Museum is the first underground museum in Portugal, uniquely combining art with winemaking culture.

The collections belong to the collector José Berardo, who has dedicated himself to gathering pieces from various origins and eras, with both historical and sentimental significance.
