Côjo Waterway of Ria de Aveiro

The Côjo Canal, once known as Ribeira das Azenhas due to the large number of those mills concentrated along its margins, gave its name to the factory founded there in 1775 by João Rodrigues Branco - Fábrica do Côjo.

It was an important place for ships to dock where the Aveiro-Mar branch line ended.
