This church is classified as a ?National Monument?, and this classification arises from the fact that, in its interior, it houses a sculptural funeral set of great artistic value - the Pantheon de Lemos.
As Nogueira Gonçalves refers, the church is a square building, rebuilt and/or reformulated at three different times: the 16th century, in the beginning and in the end of the 18th century and in the end of the 19th century.
