José Luciano de Castro Monument

Born in Oliveirinha (district of Aveiro), José Luciano de Castro (1834-1914) settled in Anadia, where he married the daughter of the jurisconsult Alexandre Ferreira de Seabra.

He was the head of the progressive party and a notable statesman of the liberal monarchy, having received visits from many portuguese political personalities in his house.
