Kompassus, synonymous of hight quality white, red and sparkling wines.
Producer João Póvoa has become a reference among Bairrada connoisseurs since the release of his Quinta de Baixo 1991, a brand that has become one of the icons of the region, due to the quality and intense character of the wines.

History
An ophthalmologist by profession, João Póvoa dedicates himself with equal passion to the study of the soils and grape varieties of Bairrada, with emphasis on Baga, which has always been present in his wines. Having sold Quinta de Baixo in 2007, he immediately started another project, Kompassus, based on vineyards from his 'terroir' of choice, the Cordinha/Ourentã axis. He has been producing white, red and sparkling wines from there.
