Manuel Alves Monument

Manuel Alves (1845-1901) was born and died in Vale do Boi, parish of Moita.

He became known as the "Cavador Poet", a nickname given to him by Tomás da Fonseca, who was also responsible for the compilation of his verses "Versos dum Cavador".

A bronze Bust was raised in honour of Manuel Alves, the "Cavador Poet".
