Museu da Pedra de Cantanhede

This museum consists of archaeological artefacts collected from diggings from prehistoric and Roman sites, in the municipality. It holds paleontological findings from the local stone quarries, ornaments made from "pedra de Ançã?, religious statuary from churches and chapels from the city and the tools used in their construction. The temporary exhibitions are also very important as they allow visitors to come into contact with contemporary sculptural production.
