The obelisk is a classified monument built from a single stone. This monument commemorating the Battle of Buçaco and other military feats during the war is situated outside the walls of the forest.
Particularities
On the top there is a crystal tipped star and its base has a bronze crown unveiled by D. Manuel II, in 1910. The monument is enclosed by an iron chain joined by eight pieces of artillery.
