The Convent of Santa Úrsula, built at the beginning of the 18th century, of which the Chapel of Nª Srª da Piedade and some ruins of the Convent still exist, was built by devout ladies on the advice of their confessor priests (Jesuits).
In 1834, with the extinction of the religious orders, they were sent to the Convent of Santa Ana, in Coimbra.
The images of the chapel also date from the beginning of the 18th century.
