The Azenha Barreto

The Azenha Barreto, located in Aldeia do Boco, was built by João Barreto over 120 years ago and also served as a residence for the miller. This watermill consists of two pairs of millstones that, in the past, ground corn and wheat, turning them into flour for bread-making.
Over the years, the outer wheel deteriorated, leaving the mill non-functional.
Today, visitors can appreciate its interior, which has been preserved much like it was in the past, including the mill machinery, the miller's room, and the kitchen.
