The Museu da Fundação Dionisio Pinheiro e Alice Cardoso Pinheiro has six rooms for permanent exhibitions and one room for temporary exhibitions. Most of the art pieces that make up the museological treasure of this Foundation, which has a vast collection of paintings, sculptures, furniture, ceramics, ivory and silver pieces, belong to the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, but some are even older.
Observations
The Foundation is a cultural institution of European concept, at the service of the national community, whose mission is to raise public awareness of the different art-forms, keeping the museum open with the artistic legacy inherited from its founders. This is enriched with occasional acquisitions, in order to enhance the museological dialogue that aspires to be contemporary, eclectic and educational.
