Palheiros and Zorro river beach

This river beach, served by the Mondego River, was created in 1997, when it was equipped with essential infrastructure. It is widely used for sports such as kayaking, canoeing, sport fishing, and beach volleyball.

On the sand there are picnic tables and barbecue grills, as well as a bar with a terrace, changing rooms, a first aid station, a playground, a beach volleyball court, and canoe rentals. During the bathing season, it occasionally hosts music concerts and has a lifeguard on duty. It is also an accessible beach with a Blue Flag. From this beach, you can also access the Ribeirinho Trail, a 7 km walking trail that runs along the river.
