Quinta das Bágeiras

"There goes Fausto to his Quinta das Bágeiras"

This is how the population of the village of Fogueira gave its name to the project that Mário Sérgio created in 1989. Fausto was his paternal grandfather, whose vines he joined with those of his maternal grandfather to found the first Bairrada wine company in over 20 years.

With the fundamental support of his father Abel, 12 hectares of vineyards that until then produced wine sold in bulk to cellars of the Region were transformed into bottled wines with the brand Quinta das Bágeiras.

Later on, another 16 hectares were added to the initial vineyard area, always in the best "terroir" of Bairrada.
