Since the beginning, the great concern of the owners has always been the careful choice and planting of selected grape varieties that allow the production of wines of great complexity. The white wines include Sauvignon, Chardonay, Arinto, Bical and Maria Gomes. As regards the reds, the base variety of Bairrada wines, the Baga, is complemented by three varieties of high oenological quality: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Cabernet Sauvignon.
At the beginning of 2001, the family decided to create their own quinta wine, for which they equipped themselves with a modern and well dimensioned winery. With exceptional quality raw materials, cutting edge technology and the know-how of three generations, Quinta do Ortigão has the conditions to impose itself in the wine world and to become a reference of prestige for the region and for the country.
The green spaces of Quinta do Ortigão provide an ideal environment for contact with the reality of wine and for meeting friends.
