Alegre Bussaco Boutique Hotel

The Alegre Bussaco Boutique Hotel is a historic, family-friendly and intimate hotel, located in Termas de Luso, at the foot of the romantic Mata do Bussaco.

An authentic haven of health and well-being, the hotel was built in 1859 as a holiday home for the Count of Graciosa and was the first manor house to be built in Luso. With the development of the region as a holiday destination for the rich and noble, at the end of the 19th century, many noble or wealthy people built their own holiday home in Luso, giving the town an aristocratic and eclectic air typical of the belle-époque. Even so, the Hotel building has always maintained its binding position over the wonderful landscape of the village, which someone once called the "Switzerland of Portugal".

Renovated as a hotel since 1939, it has been managed by the Alegre family since then. Today, this boutique hotel combines its history with contemporary comfort.
