History

Built at the end of 18th century, located in the small village of São Lourenço do Bairro, the house originally belongs to the family of the poet António Feliciano de Castilho and was later sold by his descendants to the Viscount of Seabra. It was then from the Viscount of Seabra that the present owner's grandfather bought Casa de São Lourenço.

With a beautiful architectural design, it enjoys a unique landscape, welcoming with comfort and tradition.

In 1989, the house is recovered for tourism of habitation offering all the conditions, an elegant decoration and art of welcoming. With a tasty traditional gastronomy, in an inspiring atmosphere in communion with the countryside, the guest has several evasion activities at his disposal, allowing him to discover the region, from walking and cycling tours, swimming pool, golf or take refuge in the thermal waters of Luso or Curia.

Differentiating aspects

Restored with all the care, it was adapted to house tourism in order to receive with all the comfort the guests who visit it. Its decoration deserves top marks. The seven rooms and the exquisitely decorated flat confer an unequalled distinction.

Quinta de S. Lourenço, situated in the centre of Portugal, allows you to make several trips around the region, namely to Curia, Mata do Buçaco, Luso, Penacova, and to Coimbra or Aveiro. In Serra do Caramulo you can visit the automobile museum and the Termas do Vale da Mó. If you prefer walks by the sea, 20 km away is the beautiful beach of Mira and 45 km away is the beach of Figueira da Foz.

For the gastronomes, it is good to remember that the Quinta de São Lourenço is 5km away from Mealhada, a land full of restaurants where the dish par excellence is the Bairrada suckling pig, one of the 7 wonders of the Portuguese gastronomy.
