Estação Vitivinícola ? Viticulture Centre

The Viticulture Centre was founded on the 30th June 1887 with the name Escola Prática de Viticultura e Pomologia da Bairrada (Practical School of Viticulture and Pomology of Bairrada).
The first sparkling wine of Bairrada was born here, in 1890, created by the engineer José Maria Tavares da Silva. The Viticulture Centre of Bairrada continues to carry out research and experimentation in Oenology.
